EDM with 4th Axis Capability Offers Fine Surface Finish & Intricate Extrusion Parts Designing

The yarn and filament extrusion industry has evolved as a highly-advanced field incorporating newer technologies and hi-end parts. These vital parts are designed for specific applications that need state-of-art machines to fabricate. Precision Industries Inc. was established in 1994 with an aim to meet growing need of complex textile machine parts. The company remained devoted to its cause even after undergoing diversification a decade ago. Also known as PPI Parts, the company has developed a vast machining base including an array of CNC machines, EDM Drills, 4th Axis EDM and EDM Hole Poppers. The company has emerged as a key supplier of crucial textile machine parts to the carpet industry.

The Electric Discharge Machining (EDM) involves spark erosion of a metallic workpiece. The electric spark vaporizes tiny chunks of metal to give the desired shape with very fine corners. The Wire EDM machines use a fine electrical wire as a cutting tool. The Wire EDM machine is a versatile tool for making very fine holes in fragile workpieces. Spinnerets, an integral part of the Spin Pack in the Extrusion Process, have very fine conical holes of the order of a few microns (millionth of a meter) diameters. Other extrusion parts, like texturizing jets, have very fine holes too, for strengthening the filaments against breakage. EDM Drill offers a  quick and accurate machining of precise holes in an arranged fashion for a particular application.  All EDM machines with PPI Parts,  have 4th Axis  EDM machining capabilities.  An additional dimension of machining translates to unmatched surface finish, otherwise not possible even with CNC machines.

PPI Parts maintains rigorous quality standards to ensure that each part produced by the company is made to  high dimensional and material standards.
