Precision Products Inc. Uses 4th Axis EDM Machine For Dimensional Accurate Machine Component Manufacturing!!

Precision Products Inc. established in 1993, has made its mark globally for designing and manufacturing of sophisticated, intricate machine parts. The company, also known as PPI Parts, has the distinction of serving to industrial customers who are entrusted to produce the highest quality machines, such as Aerospace & Aviation, Marine, Defense, Mining, Textile, Chemical Processing, Food Processing, and Printing. PPI Parts always strives to produce machine parts with accuracy and perfection that only rival OEM standards. To achieve this distinction, PPI Parts possesses highly trained professionals and hi-tech CNC machines, 4th axis EDM drilling devices, CAD/CAM design, Laser measuring, XRF material testing. Electric Discharge Machines (EDM) are a great asset to any precision machine company.

EDM Drill machines are CNC controlled machines to perform high-precision fabrication by eroding a blank by electric discharge to a particular shape. These EDM machines are among the most accurate manufacturing processes. As a work piece is kept dipped into a liquid, it requires no heat-treatment after the process and thus delivers high dimensional accuracy to the order of +/- 0.0005-inch. 4th axis EDM machines perform tasks, which are very complex due to an additional range of machining ability. The heads simultaneously carry out their jobs independent of each other. These machines are used for creating smooth and straight drills with superior finish and perfect surface. Such machine parts are integral to fuel system components, spinnerets and many other extrusion parts required in synthetic fibers industry.

PPI Parts is committed to meet any complex machine part that a customer wants. It's the customer-centric approach and strict quality control procedures those are central to company’s policy to maintain highest quality standards and services. PPI Parts is an ISO 9001:2008 certified company that ensures only finest products to its customers.

Understanding Extrusion Machines And EDM Hole Popper

There are tons of things around us that are precisely identical in shape, size and appearance. All these products have been manufactured using extrusion machines. These are high precision machines that ensure mass production of products in a quick and cost-effective manner. In fact, most companies into production of plastic products prefer using extrusion machines over traditional methods since these machines ensure higher productivity and are also employable for recycling of waste plastic materials. For example, the grinding extrusion machine would also grind large plastic waste into pieces that can be subsequently used in extrusion process involving screw and barrel.

EDM Hole Popper, on the other hand, is one of the equipment used in high precision machines. EDM is an acronym that stands for Electrical Discharge Machining. It is also known as small hole EDM drill. It uses electrode-based electrical sparks to erode hard metals precisely into desired shape and size. The entire process takes place with the metal submerged in di-electric oil or de-ionized water. Each time the current passes through the electrode, a square wave of electrical spark hits the exact coordinates of least resistance on the hard metal eroding it hence. The current is then switched off to let the debris flush away. This is done several times in a span of a second so as to advance the electrode deeper into the cut of the metal. The EDM Hole Popper works much like how a bolt of lightning impacts a tree on the ground, hitting it severely before hitting the ground.

Understanding The Metallurgical Analysis Process

In today’s technical world, metallurgical analysis plays a vital role as the need of high precision machining can not be overlooked. Right from power generation to adhesive sector, textiles, petrochemicals and plastic manufacturers, each sector is dependent on precision products as well as techniques. Identification, categorization, and verification of elements in such industries hold great importance, as any product manufactured out of the wrong material may have severe repercussions.

In the traditional method of metallurgical analysis, melting of the part is done to determine its exact elemental makeup. It is quite complicated and time consuming. Nowadays, the high precision modern method is used by majority of renowned industries.

Benefits of High Precision Analysis

High precision analysis offers you various benefits such as:

1. You can test any metal or alloy in seconds to verify the exact content
2. It minimizes the risk and assures that each part performs its desired function appropriately
3. With the help of this analysis, you can produce extrusion machines, as per the specified industry standards
4. It can be used in the testing of raw materials required in manufacturing processes
5. It can test the metals and plastics to determine the presence of heavy metals

The industries can not take a chance with the consumers who are well aware of the safety, performance and liability of the products. There are many reputed dealers from whom you can get a certifiable high precision analysis of the parts of your extrusion machines or any other equipment at a very reasonable price.

A Brief on Extrusion Machines and Precision Parts

Extrusion machines are used to produce an unbroken length of materials through a preset cross section. Such machines push or pull a material through a shaped die to reach the production. A large number of commercial products are made through these machines. The range of product includes steel or copper wire, plastic tubing and plastic sheets. More so, many food type products are also made through them. With the help of such high precision machining, a wide range of industrial benefits are derived. Formation of complex cross sections is another benefit of these high quality machines.

Extrusion machines also help in the formation of brittle materials. Materials are made cold or hot prior to extrusion to form the products. Bakers piping bag is the simplest possible example of extrusion machines. Industrial extrusion machines are employed to form many products with the help of plastics, metals and wide array of pharmaceutical components. Different types of processes are utilized in the formation of products through high precision machining. Formation of products is bound to see the complexity of the cross sections.

At the same time, inclusion of hollow cores varies as per the products and processes. Rather than pushing it, there is a wide range of machines that form the products by drawing the material through the die. These machines help in formation of a vast variety of products from an evenly large range of raw materials. Such machines have a wide range of industrial activities, thus work as a smart option to other manufacturing processes. Online search would help you find the best of extrusion machines for your needs and specifications.

A Brief on Precision Products for the Industry

There is possibly no industry that does not require precision products. Similarly, high precision machining is necessary in all important industries in order to produce those precision products, whether it’s the beverage canning industry or the military equipment production industry. The bottling industry needs it and so does the automotive sector and chemical manufacturing units. Yarn extrusion machines would also need it as would the power generation sector.

High precision machining would require the use of Computer Numerical Control or CNC machines whether it’s for the turning operations or milling operations. Other modern facilities required would be the use of laser technology as well as Electrical Discharge Machine or the EDM. This machine works on the principle of using the electrical current for either melting the metal or burning it. This operation progressively and in very discrete amounts removes the metal thereby producing the final product of great accuracy. This kind of precision machining is often used in the reverse engineering process adopted for the purpose of manufacturing or developing a part that may be required for your industry.

Precision products are often required to meet the needs of extrusion machines. These machines could be in use in different industries such as polyurethane machines or the jack shaft in the production of mining equipment. You may need it for the pump key or king post in agricultural equipment or automotive products such as the armor winder arbor. Such parts could be either a Barmag part in use for the winder or a Mackie part such as thrust coupling.
